~~My Tattered Pages~~

I've started this blog due to my passion for reading and also for writing.  I have not authored any great novels yet but I will someday! 

But in the meantime..I read.

Initially, I had intended to blog solely about books but the blogs became personal.  It was sometimes soul-cleansing to put it all out there into web print (even if no one was reading-LOL).   So now I like to say that my blog is about everyday life and the books in between. 

I don't have a set schedule or anything like that yet but if everything picks up maybe I will.  Right now I just pick a book and blog about it.  I try not to give too much away because true bookworms don't like spoilers.

However, it is also nice to talk about books with other people who have read it as well.  For this, I'd love to start an on-line chat book club for those of us who would like to read the same book together but whose busy work/family schedules won't allow for an outside group meeting.  Also, on-line, it doesn't even matter where you live.  All you need is the Internet!  If anyone would be interested--please let me know.  It would have to be on Yahoo or AOL since we could all log into a chat room at any specified time. 

I have also opened a Shelfari account and have group called, of course, My Tattered Pages.  I will use the Shelfari group to sort of keep a static book site.  In other words, we won't all need to be on-line at the same time to discuss books because you can just leave your own separate comments or threads.  Here's my shelf:  http://shelfari.com/mytatteredpages/shelf
